Summary & Business Model

Lockton is one of the world’s largest privately held insurance brokerages. Based out of KC, Locktondoes business globally and has built the firm through a continued focus ofemploying high-end professionals.

One of Lockton’s core growth avenues has been through private equity and investment banking networks. Lockton provides acquisition diligence services for PE upon the purchase of a target company (buy-side acquisition). That acquisition diligence includes the review of the target firm’s risk relative to cyber, operating, compensation and labor exposure. The diligence team works hand-in-hand with the buying PE firm to evaluate risk and craft a new plan to limit risk exposure.

Lockton is looking for a someone that is inquisitive, thrives in a project management role, employs strong communication skills and enjoys client interaction and brings tested financial literacy. In this role you will be responsible for managing / progressing the diligence process. Each diligence process is typically a 1 to 3-month project.

Job Description

As a Property and Casualty Transaction Analyst, you will provide deal-specific transaction support to TAP- Transaction Advisors by reviewing virtual data rooms, collecting data, and summarizing the information provided by the target corporation. The Transaction Analyst will learn the world of private equity, M&A, and due diligence and how it intersects with property and casualty insurance.

Job Responsibilities

Responsible for assisting Transaction Advisors in managing the property and casualty insurance due diligence process for our private equity and corporate clients, including: Assist in all facets of electronic and paper data collection processes with organization of documents for analysis.
Populate and/or create financial spreadsheets and illustrations based upon data financial analysis.
Review documents and agreements such as insurance policies, carrier loss runs, exposure information, contracts, and other related materials.
Coordinate distribution of documents to internal departments for specialized analysis, while communicating scope of review and timelines for deliverables.
Maintain detailed data request tracking lists, to be updated on an as needed basis.
Serve as a back-up contact for multiple Transaction Advisors for both internal and external contacts.
Assist with the construction and assembly of highly professional reports of industry leading quality.
Assist Transaction Advisor in delivering and communicating transactional deal issues as they arise, and our final written findings to the client, the private equity buyer or operating company C-suite executives.
Responsible for liaising with Lockton service teams and the client on the transition of new business to Lockton.
Performs other responsibilities and duties as needed.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or equivalent education and/or work experience.
Aptitude in mathematical calculations and general business acumen.
Ability to successfully adapt in a dynamic, changing, fast-paced environment.
Organizational and time management skills to prioritize workloads to meet time sensitive deadlines.
Willingness and ability to take initiative and ownership in work/projects and see through completion.
Ability to communicate professionally in written correspondence.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with Associates at all levels.
Legally able to work in the United States.
