Financial Advisory Associate

The new team member will help facilitate financial and transaction advisory for middle-market clients that are (a) going through "financial puberty", or (b) approaching an M&A event. In this role you will be responsible for the build and management of financial models, drafting of investment CIM's and diligence reports, managing due diligence and partnering with the Tarsus executive team to facilitate fundings and support ongoing business development efforts.

  • Reports To > Ben Olsen (VP), Paul Bertrand and Paul Burns (founders)
  • Core Responsibilities > include financial due diligence, building valuation and operating models & client consulting
  • Must Bring > Strong excel skills, Due Diligence (QoE-type) experience, familiarity with transaction advisory
  • KBS Projected Comp > Between $85k to $120k
  • This hire is required to (a) be a hands-on financial and accounting leader with a bias toward taking action, (b) bring zero ego, and (c) very willing and capable of handling ambiguity.

Job Description

The position requires leading, designing and participating in processes related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, valuations, due diligence and financial planning & analysis functions for the firm's clients. This requires extracting and communicating key data from various accounting and information systems across multiple clients. The position will encompass the creation and continuous improvement of financial models, due diligence processes and materials, and regular interaction with senior management inside the Company as well as with senior management of client companies. A solid understanding of accounting, finance, and financial modeling is required, along with strong multi-project prioritization and communication skills.
