Job Description:

Reporting directly to the Managing Partner of the firm, the Director of Fund Administration is an instrumental addition, in this newly created position. As the Director in our fund administration group, your key responsibilities will be to lead a team of tenured Fund Controllers, interface directly with our clients, and use our proprietary software, Valence, to be able to educate new hires as the firm grows but also to present to prospective clients.

This is a remote position. You can work from home, or we will cover the cost of a co-working space in your area.

• Act as senior contact on client engagements and work with Fund Team to complete primary scope of services which include: financial reporting, partner allocations, carries interested calculations, processing capital calls and distributions, liaising with auditors, tax providers, formation counsel and other service providers, etc.
• Work with leadership to assist with major projects, develop programs or processes that will improve the overall day to day responsibilities of the group.
• Maintain a working relationship with all client contracts, auditors, lawyers, and banking personnel.
• Oversee and provide guidance on the initial set up of the Clients Funds deliverables (capital calls, distributions, financial statements, waterfalls, IRRs).
• Act as lead subject matter expert for fund administration services – train, enable, and lead the fund team; inform our software development roadmap; assist the business development team with prospective client calls as needed; act as thought leader at industry events, develop content, etc.

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• CPA strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience within the financial services sector with at least 5+ years of experience with venture capital, Fund of Funds, and close ended funds. Any experience with digital asset funds is a big plus but not a must.
• Proven ability to lead a team of 10+ individuals with hands on fund accounting experience, remotely.
• Comfortable in assisting existing client relationships along with new client engagement.
• Additional: Entrepreneurial mindset, Affinity for technology, Strong Leadership Skills. The ability to multitask, time management, attention to detail, planning and problem solving skills are critical.
